Delete Your Account
You can request deletion of your HowZya account and associated personal data at any time, whether or not you currently have the app installed.
Option 1 — Delete directly in the app (fastest)
- Open HowZya and log in
- Go to Profile → Settings
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm when prompted
Option 2 — Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, email us at support@howzya.com from the address associated with your account (or include the mobile number you signed up with), with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
We will process deletion requests within a reasonable time, and will confirm once your account has been removed.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove your profile information (name, photo, suburb selections) and your authentication record, so you can no longer log in.
Posts and comments you've made may remain visible to preserve the integrity of conversations they're part of, but they are no longer linked to an active account or to any personal details beyond the display name already shown at the time of posting.
If you would like your posts and comments removed as well, mention this in your deletion request and we will action it within a reasonable time.
